3D Multicolor Printing

Some time ago, Stratasys released the Connex3 3D printer, which not only prints in color, but also from various materials. This is a big step forward in 3D printing from various materials. Prints from Connex3 look really aesthetic and above all they are functional.

We decided to take a closer look today at the printer from a technical point of view. The printer produces 3D printing multicolor from a variety of materials from very flexible to durable and stiff. The latest 3D printer from Stratasys is able to produce 3D objects with many properties, including a wide range of colors. The technology allows stiff, flexible, colorful and transparent prints to be produced in one operation.

How does it actually work?

The Objet500 Connex3 printer combines 3 liquid resins with basic colors in a special head that can measure them in different proportions, thanks to which the multitude of shades can be expanded to even 46 colors in one model. The colors can be both intense and clear, as well as translucent. The client has 10 color palettes at his disposal:
